I have had a call from a desperate parent who’s son has just been moved out of the young people category and not been referred to an adult aac support system in any way. the person has multiple physical and learning deficits and requires extensive support. parent is looking for aac help.
I checked the AAC hubs for her area – nothing for adults, so family will have to approach local doctor in hope that person knows where to go???? and there is nothing on her county’s website/NHS site.
i have sent a couple of links.
does anyone have a flow chart of what the general pubic needs to do to access the hubs????
or is it different for every hub?? how do we know who/what the spokes are???
